Jimmy Taylor was a local studio photographer who worked in Richmond from 1942-1967. He shot many of the Eastern yearbook portraits and group photos. In addition to this he also did studio portraits for local schools and the general public. He photographed places, events and groups throughout the county as well as duplication of old photographs, Bible records, military records and other documents that people needed copies of. The collection contains nearly 30,000 negatives and prints, with about 90% of the collection being negatives.
