For some students, Greek life plays a huge role in their college experience. For Eastern students, this has been a part of campus since the 1960s. EKU fraternities have been around since 1967, while sororities came later. To administer these groups, Eastern set up the IFC,
Interfraternity Council, to establish the rules and regulations for the fraternities. The structure of the IFC is made up of four elected members from each fraternity and among these groups of four are the presidents of each fraternity. There are currently 9 sororities and 18 fraternities on campus.
