Madison County Rediscovered by Lavinia Kubiak was published by the Madison County Historical Society in 1987. This great resource on Madison County, Kentucky architecture sold out quickly and has been out of print for years. In 2012 the Madison County Historical Society and Eastern Kentucky University partnered to provide online access to this title. Daniel Weddington, a graduate of Eastern's history department, was hired to arrange and scan the images in the book and retype the text. The original project was completed in Placeography, but was copied into an EKU platform at a later date and has just been rolled into this new exhibit which expands the initial project by including the first two chapters, "Historical Overview" and "Architectural Overview."
