Commercial Building

Commercial Building at 134 West Main Street, Richmond

MAR-19
134 West Main Street, Richmond
ca. 1850

The facade of this two-story brick building is laid in a Flemish bond. Late nineteenth-century, stamped-metal window hoods ornment three equally spaced windows on the second story. The gabled dormer projecting from the low gable roof, delicate boxed cornice, and the almost hidden end chimneys are features that suggest this may be the oldest surviving sommercial building in downtown Richmond.
