At a young age she was baptized at First Baptist Church and later joined Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. She transitioned life on January 11, 2023 at the age of 79. She was a longtime employee of Meadow Gold Ice Cream Factory in Richmond, KY until it closed. She later spent several years in California working for a printing company. After returning to Lexington, she worked as supervisor for Greenleaf Inn until she became disabled. She was preceded in death by brothers: Robert Palmer and James Palmer; one sister, Mary Pattie Guy.
