Enclosed are 7 pictures of the plant at the Illinois
Ordnance Unit, as r equested in your December 27th
memo randun1.
I believe this pretty well covers the situation. Please
note particularly the empty coal stockpile in picture #1.

The Herrin newspaper may want to use some of the pictures
for a story. Ordnance has no objection and if it is
satisfactory with you, I 111 tell the paper it is ok.
Incidentally, we may get a price concession on the pictures
if the paper uses them. The price without a concession is
$2050 each, total $17.50. Additional prints will be $1.00
each.
Several employees have asked if they may buy copies.
Colonel Oetinger has no objection, and if you have no
objection, I will arrange, to get p rints for those who
want to buy them.
I have not paid for the pictures as yet, so will 1·Jait
until your r eply.
