Description: Oil painting of Richard Jaggers. Sticker on the back reads: "Geralds Studios, 6713 Shider Plaza, Dallas, TX 75205." According to EKU press release (10/24/1972), Jaggers served on the Eastern campus from 1931-33 as director of extension before leaving to work in the State Department of Education where he became Director of Teacher Training and Certification. He returned to Eastern in 1952 and retired in 1961 as professor of education and associate dean for graduate studies. The painter, H.B. Geralds is Mrs. Jagger's brother. The press release also indicates that the portrait was unveiled--along with those of Herndon and Ferrell--on October 29, 1972
